Welcome to the Cottonwood Canyons Scenic Byways Study!  

This project will develop a Corridor Management Plan and Interpretive Plan to assist with the management, visitor services, and information provided along Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.  

The primary purpose of this Study is to provide thoughtful, collaborative planning to identify the most important features in each Canyon.  Through a yearlong process, this Study will identify strategies and actions which will inform the public about the special features, history, and environment of these Canyons.   Strategies will focus on protecting natural resources, providing a safe and pleasurable traveling experience, and sustainability for the communities along the byways.
